How NAD+ fits together
Your body makes NAD+ from precursors — including vitamin B3 (niacin) and related molecules such as nicotinamide riboside. NAD+ levels are known to decline with age, which is why "topping them up" is such an appealing idea. Whether a supplement meaningfully changes that in humans is still an active research question.
The honest claims picture
"NAD+ boosting" is not an authorised claim. Neither nicotinamide riboside nor NAD+ itself has an authorised health claim in Great Britain. Any "boosts NAD+ / slows ageing" language is marketing, not approved fact.
