Calcium AKG (CaAKG) is one of the newer names on the "longevity" shelf, and it comes wrapped in some pretty ambitious anti-ageing talk. This guide is the grounded version: what CaAKG actually is, which part of it carries authorised claims, and how to choose a quality product in the UK.

Let's be upfront. In the UK, CaAKG is sold as a food supplement — not a medicine. Food supplements cannot claim to treat, prevent or cure any condition, and alpha-ketoglutarate has no authorised health claim.
